Letters to Your Ex -
Stories Out Loud
A live storytelling event in Toronto, hosted by @whywithcai, featuring 4-5 storytellers sharing their stories of past relationships before reading letters written to their exes.
Audience members also contribute to a live "What would you tell your ex?" wall, creating a shared space for reflection, connection, and a reminder that no one experiences heartbreak alone.
Please note: Speakers may touch on abuse, suicide, death, self-harm, and other sensitive topics.
Date & Time: November 21st, 8pm - 9:30pm (doors at 7:30pm)

MEET YOUR NOVEMBER STORYTELLERS:
Mikaela Brewer
Mikaela Brewer (she/her) is a writer, editor, and singer from Barrie, Ontario. Once upon a time, she played basketball for Team Canada & Stanford University. Outside of writing & editorial projects, she loves dragons, horses, cooking, root systems, and letters (usually with jazz in the background).

Jacquie Dawe
Jacquie Dawe (she/her) is a lover of dogs, coffee, glitter, and sequins. She dislikes capital letters, but falls in line and uses them anyways. She recently earned a graduate certificate in Creative Writing, and is currently writing her memoir. She has dabbled in live storytelling and is excited to get back on stage.
Gina Li
Gina Li (she/her) is a writer, writing facilitator and certified grief educator based in Markham, Ontario. She believes deeply in the power of story to help us heal, connect with others and find meaning along life’s journey.
Monica Henao Paredes
Monica Henao Paredes (she/they) is a Digital Storyteller and Public Speaker who works from an intersectional lens, amplifying unheard voices and exploring the layers of identity and connection that shape the human experience. They draw from their lived experiences as a queer, immigrant, lesbian, and person of faith to spark impactful conversations about identity, inclusion, and belonging—both online and in our everyday lives.
Kris Yeo
Kris Yeo (she/her) is a model, entrepreneur, multi-business owner, stepmom, and co-host of Blonde Highlights. She is passionate about speaking, connecting with women, and encouraging them to embrace who they are, build confidence, and show up as their best selves.

Before each storyteller comes on stage, you will receive a trigger warning about their story. You are welcome and encouraged to step out for that story if needed and return once the storyteller is done sharing.

Yes! Cai will have his book available for purchase ( $20 cash or card) before and after the event.
